What is your general belief about who or what is most responsible for causing the confli

I belive that the genral problem was the indians being so jealous of the whitmans. And i think they were also jealous because the indians think they were going to kill them by giving them measles but thats not the case because the whitmans were imun to the disease while the indians were not.

What is the relevant background information (i.e. who, what, when, where)?

They cayuse happend during the epidemic of measles in november 29th, 1847. The waiilatpu had grown in 1847 from 50 to 75 people in the town. 14 people died some in thier late teens and older 30s, and two children died from measles. In the 1850s the voilence broke out near the mountians but it did not last long instead of war they would hang people.

What were 3 factors that helped cause the conflict (politics, economics, geography, history)?

First the people are being jealous because of all the whitmans are imun from measles for example the indians are mad and all of their people are dieing of a epidemic and the whitmans are noooooooooot dieing at all. 2 also i think that the indians were mad about thier goverment.3 lastly the whitmans werent helping either they were bragging a lot.

Explain why one factor is more important than the others.

Well because all of them play a roll in the whitman massacre they are all equally important as the other factors.

How could the conflict have been avoided?
